Are the companies you deal with regulated by the Financial Services Authority?

Yes, all the insurers on our panel are regulated by the Financial Services Authority.

Can I cancel my Direct Debit at anytime?

Yes, you can cancel your Direct Debit at anytime by advising your Bank or Building Society. Please note that, by cancelling your Direct Debit, you are also cancelling the Credit Agreement. If you are cancelling your Direct Debit before the final payment has been made to us, the outstanding balance becomes payable immediately. IMPORTANT: Cancelling your Direct Debit does not cancel your policy.

Can I drive other cars with this insurance?

Please check your insurance certificate as this will confirm if you are insured to drive any other cars. Please be aware that the extension to drive any other cars only covers the insured Third Party Only.

Can I pay by instalments online?

Yes, provided you are 18 or over. When you first take out a policy, you'll need to make a deposit. After that, the balance can be paid by Direct Debit over the following 10 months. You'll also need to pay a credit charge which will be added to your total premium.

Do I get a courtesy car included?

If you have comprehensive cover the insurer will provide a small courtesy car free of charge for the time the car is being repaired by one of our approved repairers subject to availability.

Do you insure drivers under 25?

Yes, we have a range of car insurance policies for young drivers and inexperienced drivers.

Does my car insurance policy allow me to drive someone else's car?

Most policyholders over 25 are insured to drive other people's cars, as long as they have third party insurance. However, it's best you check your insurance certificate before doing so just in case.

Does the price of my car insurance include motor legal expenses cover?

No, this cover is not included automatically in the price of your car insurance. However, if you'd like to include this extra cover, you can find full details along with your online quotation. Motor Protection Plan Plus is our way of giving you an extra bit of legal protection, to help recover any uninsured losses for claims that were not your fault e.g. your excess or damages for personal injury.

How do I make a claim?

How do I make a complaint?

How do I make a payment?

You can pay for your insurance policy using any of the following credit and debit cards; Mastercard, Visa, Switch/Maestro, Delta, Solo, Electron. You can also choose to pay by instalments, but you must be over 18 to do so. You'll need to make an initial deposit, then the rest of the balance can be paid by monthly Direct Debit. Full details of the instalment option will be given with your quotation.

How do I request a Foreign Use Cover?

You do not need to request this while travelling in the European Union. If you are travelling outside the EU simply call us on 0845 677 0096 and we may be able to offer you cover. Lines are open 8am-8pm Monday to Friday, 9am-4pm on Saturdays and 10am-4pm on Sundays.

How do I request duplicate documents?

How long can I use my car abroad?

The insurer will provide cover up to 90 days

How many claims can I have with protected NCB before they get stepped back?

No more than 2 claims during 3 continuous periods of insurance.

How many days notice do I need to give to cancel a policy?

You do not need to give any notice you can cancel your policy at anytime via phone or returning your certificate to us in the post with a covering letter.

I have been a named driver on someone else's car insurance policy. Does this entitle me to a no-claims discount if I take out my own insurance?

No-claims bonuses are only available to the policyholder. However, we can usually arrange an introductory discount for you if you are claim-free. Just give us a call on 0845 677 0096 for more information.

What is a Foreign Use Cover?

Foreign use cover provides you with the same level of cover when travelling in the European Union that you would get in the for a granted number of days.

Will I get a courtesy car in the event of an accident?

Your claim will be arranged through your insurance company's approved repairer. However, the use of a courtesy car is always subject to availability. You will only receive a courtesy car if:

  • you're in the UK,
  • you have Comprehensive cover,
  • your vehicle is not written off.

Will I lose my NCB if I make a windscreen claim?

No, repairing a windscreen or window will be free of charge however, you will be subject to an excess in the event that the windscreen needs to be replaced. Please refer to your schedule.
